Terms & Conditions

A digital breathalyzers should be used only as a screening device and may only give an indication of the possible presence of alcohol in the blood of the test subject. It is extremely important that the ability to drive or operate machinery is not based on the result of any breathalyzer test. By purchasing from us you agree to these terms.

If you are an employer then you must be aware of the accuracy levels and certification levels of the various breathalyzer devices sold on this website. All alcohol screening tests must be backed up by a Home Office Approved Device and a blood or urine test if disciplinary action or termination of employment is to be carried out. We will not be responsible for any actions taken by you. There is no 'safe' alcohol limit. If you have consumed any alcohol you should not attempt to DRIVE OR OPERATE MACHINERY.

The exact concentration of alcohol in the blood of the test subject cannot be accurately determined by using a breathalyzer. Correlation between breath alcohol content and blood alcohol content (BAC) depends on many variables. GS Solutions, LLC (Alcohol-Analyzer.com) disclaims liability for incidental, special, or consequential damages of any nature.  We make no warranties as to the accuracy of any articles or information on this site. You should always consult with a legal professional if in doubt. All of our breathalyzer units should be used for initial screening purposes only. A home office approved calibrated unit, blood test or urine sample will be required if action is to be taken against an individual or employee for breach of contract or in the event of disciplinary action due alcohol consumption. We do not offer advice/recommendations regarding disciplinary procedures against individuals suspected of alcohol abuse/intoxication in any way, and as such will not enter into any dialogue or written communications regarding such.

GS Solutions, LLC and its subsidiary companies will not be liable for any loss incurred by you as a consequence of alcohol influence in any way. We will not be liable for any loss through misuse of our website, by any unauthorized access to, by any alteration of data transmissions, any corruption of data, any destruction of data, or any other loss incurred.

All accuracy levels are quoted from the manufacturers supplied figures and may or may not be achieved in day to day use dependent on test conditions. We will not be held liable for failure to achieve the quoted accuracy levels in any way. You accept this by agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Returns on your Breathalyzer

We accept returns on all our breathalyzers for 15 days after the delivery date confirmation. A 15% restocking fee will apply to most returns that are not a result of a faulty unit or a shipping damage claim. Please contact us by phone at 1-888-980-1268 before you return your product to determine the best solution to your problem. For more information regarding certain situations and how to handle a return please visit our page on shipping and returns.

We want you to be totally satisfied with your breathalyzer from Alcohol-Analyzer.com. Our aim is to offer a first class service to our customers and fellow businesses. You do have the right to cancel your order at any time. If your item has already been shipped then you will have to follow the procedures to return your device.

If, however, you change your mind, then simply tell us that you intend to return the breathalyzer in its original and unused condition, along with the packaging. You must call us beforehand or visit our site to receive a return authorization number. We will not be liable for return postage charges and a 15% restocking fee will be withheld from your order.

We cannot accept returned breathalyzer units that have been blown into unless mechanically faulty and therefore should be handled under the manufacturers replacement recommendations provided with your device. These procedures are outlined in more detail in our shipping and returns section.

Warranty Claims

For a warranty claim you must contact the manufacturer to receive a return number. All units should be sent to the manufacturer in original packaging or, if unavailable, suitable protective wrapping (eg: bubble wrap and padded envelope). We will not be liable for units that are returned to us that deal with manufacturer defects. We are not the manufacturer of any breathalyzer units and cannot repair units that are faulty. We recommend that you return all units to the manufacturer with some form of shipping which will cover transit insurance. Most units are warranted by the manufacturers for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover accidental or incidental damage of any kind caused by misuse and recalibration is specifically excluded.

Replacement of your Breathalyzer

Under no circumstances will we replace a breathalyzer until unless it is a result from damage during shipment. We do not manufacture the units we sell therefore we cannot process any claims to repair or replace units that are a result from manufacturer defects. For faulty breathalyzer units please follow the manufacturer’s recommendations that are included with your breathalyzer to be able to get your unit repaired or replaced. We will not initiate any replacement until that has been damaged in a result of shipping until we have the alleged damaged unit in our possession.

If you return your unit to us because you are unhappy then we will try our best to resolve the problem, but be advised that there is a 15% restocking fee based on returns not damaged or faulty. If we are unable to clearly identify any damage from the result of shipping then we will repackage the unit and return it to you. By accepting the upgrade you accept that we are unable to confirm any damage to the unit and any future claims regarding the old unit are null and void.

If you return your unit to us and we are unable to find any fault then we reserve the right to charge you for the postal return of your breathalyzer. For more information on these situations and how to fix your problem please see our returns page.

All breathalyzer units start to lose their accuracy after a period of time. A recalibration requirement would normally present (but not in every case) as spurious/unreliable readings inconsistent with the alcohol consumed.

The manufacturers recommend recalibration after approx 200-300 tests or every 6 -12 months depending on the amount of daily use. Frequent testing (ie: high volume testing of 100+ tests within a relatively short period) will also affect the sensor life. If you are likely to test in the high volume regime then a semi-conductor sensor is not suitable and you should consider the Lifeloc Lifeguard, BacTrack S80 & S75, and the Alcohawk PT500 fuel cell units instead.

This is a rough guide, and individual breathalyzer units will vary dependent on conditions such as storage conditions, breath sample purity (eg: nicotine and residual food particles will shorten life). We do not offer recalibration on any breathalyzer units as it is not cost effective, but we do serve information for the manufacturers that supply this service. If you need more information on calibration or how to get your unit calibrated call us at 1-888-980-1268 or view our page on breathalyzer calibration.
